I couldn’t have scripted a more perfect night.
For one fantastic evening, at a masquerade party in the heart of Manhattan, I’m not the millionaire everyone wants a piece of. Fine—multimillionaire.  But who’s counting all those commas? Not me, and not the most intriguing woman I've ever met, who happens to like dancing, witty banter, and hot, passionate up-against-the-wall action as much as I do.
There's no need for names or business cards. And that’s why I’m eager to get to know her more, since my mystery woman seems to like me for me, rather than for my huge…bank account.

Everything’s coming up aces. Until the next day when things get a little complicated. (Newsflash — a lot complicated.)

***

He's charming, brilliant, an incredible lover, and right now I want to stab fate in the eyeballs.
I've had one goal I've been working toward, and lo and behold, my mystery man is the very person who stands between me and my dream job. A job I desperately need since my hard-knock life has nothing in common with his star-kissed one.

But it’s time to put that fairytale night behind me, and focus on learning what makes him tick. Too bad it turns out his quirks are my quirks, and his love affair with New York matches mine.

And as we spend our days together, I discover something else that feels like a cruel twist of fate — I’m falling for this naughty prince charming, and that’s not an ending I can write to our story.

Clever and witty

Lauren has outdone herself with her leading man this time! I absolutely loved the clever dialogue and humor! I loved that they fell in love with their minds and not just due to looks. Both characters were well thought out and real. You cheered for them all the way through to the HEA!

Crushed it!

As always Blakely delivers on another crushing hot romance. It’s sexy, fun and endlessly romantic!

Fantasies Really do Come True in Come as You Are!!

Sabrina Granger is a struggling journalist recently jilted by her fiancee shortly before their wedding. Sabrina has always been obsessed with historical romances and fantasizes about a prince sweeping her off her feet some day. “Mistaken identity, playacting, lords in disguise—all of it was so delicious” to Sabrina. In her fantasies the hero and heroine would both be in disguise because a prince would never fall in love with a commoner like her. Rejected by love, Sabrina is solely focused on her career and desperately needs a job. When her best friend invites Sabrina to a charity fundraiser masquerade party, Sabrina gets the chance to live out her fantasies, repurpose her wedding dress and network at the same time. Flynn Parker is not your typical computer geek. He is a rich, hot, confident and a successful entrepreneur focused on his company and launching his latest app. Flynn has been fooled in love before and knows his wealth makes him a target to gold diggers so he doesn't trust easily. For the masquerade party, Flynn decides to dress all in black and wears a mask to cover his eyes. Flynn is frequently approached by people who want to pitch their ideas or ask for money. Wearing a mask means he won’t be recognized and he will have the freedom to be himself. At least for the evening he doesn’t have to worry about the other guests’ motives for approaching him. When Flynn spots Sabrina at the bar he admires her stunning figure but is most intrigued by what she is wearing! The imagination needed to create her costume reflects a sharp mind which in Flynn’s opinion makes her even hotter than how she looks! Flynn plays along with Sabrina’s desire to keep their real identities a secret, instead assuming the role of the man who sweeps her off her feet and onto the dance floor. Ridiculously turned on by their attraction to each other, Flynn and Sabrina take advantage of their anonymity to take what each is offering. Lauren Blakely has a wickedly delicious sense of humor which she combines with wordplay to keep readers continuously entertained. In Come As You Are, she pulls back the curtains and strips away all pretense to show two people falling in love while being their truest selves. Perhaps instead of using Match.com us singletons looking for love should wear a mask and keep our identities secret when we go out. Besides adding an air of mystery, the freedom to be yourself (or who ever you want to be), should also improve your confidence when meeting new people!

Decent but not enough

The book wasn’t bad but there never was enough conflict or a big enough climax in the book. There was a few small bumps in the road but nothing that was jaw dropping or kept me dialed in.

Loved Flynn!

Come as You are is told in DPOV by Flynn an Sabrina and is a sweet and lighthearted read. Flynn has it all (well almost all), he's got the looks, a great job and money, but what he doesn't have is the girl. Sabrina is on the verge of loosing what little she has left, she recently lost her job and her wedding was called off. They meet each other at a masquerade party and boy do the sparks fly! "And hey, how awesome is it to meet someone who likes hot up-against-the wall sex as much as I do?" Neither Flynn nor Sabrina know the other persons real identity and agree to meet, once they do things seem to be falling apart all over again for Sabrina. You see, she was recently hired to interview Flynn to see what makes him tick, yet she had no idea that her lover from last night was Flynn! "The guy who texted you. The guy who has your panties. And, evidently the guy you're interviewing." I loved this quick read by Lauren!

Come As You Are

I really enjoyed this fun and sexy read. Loved how Flynn and Sabrina met and hooked up at a masquerade party. Through texts, they flirted but still didn’t exchange names. But when they find out who they are? Can they resist each other? Can they work together? Loved how he let down his guard and realizes he can trust her and how connected they were. I highly recommend this book.

Come as you are is must have for any hopeless romantic at heart!

Come as you are is an enchanting, feel-good read! Talk about plastering a smile on my face! This book just had me rocking a cheeky smile throughout the whole read. With that dynamic underpull of joy, it brought to the pages. Plus with the current of heat which blazed through the scenes, I was wishing I could be Sabrina and Flynn at some points! So from one hopeless romantic to another, let's just say, Come as you are is must have for any hopeless romantic at heart!

Certified adorkable read!

Two words: pineapple math. I’ve definitely fallen in love with the sheer wit and geekiness that Lauren Blakely has shown and highlighted in her newest romance novel. To me, it only fired up the sexiness and adorableness that Flynn Parker already holds. This isn’t your typical in-your-face kind of billionaire love story where the hero—who may or may not happen to be a douche—showers the heroine with all the lavish and most luxurious things in the world. No, this is the kind that’s sweet and light and just blissful. One that will make you want to have endless sighs of contentment and happiness. One with a hero who’s humble and passionate, and knows when he’s got a great thing going and never lets it go. A hero (aka The Duke) who worships his woman (aka The Angel) and makes her feel like she’s the luckiest and most loved person in the world. Heart-melting, toe-curling and absolutely brain-stimulating, Come As You Are is just the fun and feel good romance I needed. I enjoyed this tale of two people from the opposite side of the tracks with a connection so deep and a chemistry so electrifying, you won’t be able to help but cheer them on. And as always, Lauren Blakely gives us the kind of funny, geeky and flirty banter that will make your heart flutter and give you tingles all over.

Charming and Sexy Cinderella Romance

Blakely deliver a charming romance, in this Cinderella story, with likable, good-hearted characters. It's a quick, easy, sexy and thoroughly enjoyable read. Sabrina Granger meets Flynn Parker at a masked costume party and, because of his disguise, doesn’t know that he is the famous, wealthy, tech entrepreneur. In fact, during their moment of passion, they don’t exchange names at all. The next day, Sabrina, a journalist, is given an assignment, to write a story on Flynn. Once their identities are known to the other, the romance becomes a forbidden one for this pair. They have a lot to overcome before they can find their HEA.

Brilliant storytelling!

Come As You Are is another fabulous example of the brilliant storytelling of one of today’s most prolific writers of contemporary romance. Men might be from Mars and women from Venus but this author always celebrates the unique and delightful difference between the sexes which is why her books are an automatic must read for me. She specializes in witty banter, steamy sexual attraction and true heartfelt emotion that leaps right off the page and right into my romantic heart. Flynn and Sabrina are perfect for each other but in order to keep their professional integrity intact they have to deny their feelings and that proves to be more difficult as time goes by. Trust me, you will fall in love with these characters just as much as I did when I read their story in one sitting. I read an early copy of this book and all opinions expressed in my voluntary and unsolicited review are completely my own.

5 Pineapple Stars!

I absolutely LOVED this book! Every so often I like to read a book in which there's little to no drama or angst, and that's pretty much what I got with this story. I loved the chemistry between Flynn and Sabrina, it's pretty hot right from the start, even if Sabrina has no clue who her Stealth Startup really is. The banter and dialogue between them is fresh, sharp, witty, sexy and sweet. Flynn hasn't let success go to his head; he's actually pretty humble and laid back. Sabrina isn't necessarily looking for a relationship, she's got more pressing issues to deal with, first and foremost being her employment, or lack thereof. I enjoyed seeing how their feelings for each other evolve throughout the course of the story. A solid read that I highly recommend!

Come As Are

Loved Flynn’s nerdy confidence and appreciated his fears in relationships. Sabrina was so relatable she could easily be my best friend. This book was witty, hopeful and evoked feelings that were so real as I read the book. This book is one I will read again when I need a lift. Thanks Lauren for sharing your talent.

4.5 Come As You Are Stars!

A light, charming, fun-filled romance that had Lauren Blakely’s signature of sweet and sexy romance. Come As You Are is one of those refreshing reads that made you smile BIG!!! Yes, I was one of those readers who practically inhaled this book in one sitting. The beauty of this book was that it was low on angst, had that perfect balance of swoon and charisma to keep readers intrigued. As always, the dialogue exchange is what made this story fun. So if you are looking for a romance that was nerdy, sweet, and steamy then this book is for you.

Sweet, Sexy and Seductive! The perfect read!

Can I give this 10 Stars?! Cause it deserves it! Good lawd, just when I think Lauren can’t possibly top her last book, she releases Flynn out into the Wild. And I don’t know how she makes a math geek so freaking sexy and swoon worthy, but she does! I mean that man can talk numbers to me all night long if he wanted. Lol! ***His kisses should be labeled “known to induce swooning.” His touch should be listed as the kind that can melt me into a puddle. Because that’s who I am right now. I’m dissolving into sugary-sweet pleasure as he touches me. Names don’t matter. Jobs don’t matter. All I need to know is this man can kiss. Sweet and super sexy, a seductive tryst that started at a masquerade ball full of “math geeks” will make your heart swoon and beg for more! ***“You,” she whispers, her honeyed voice like a caress. “I probably shouldn’t say this, but it turns me on to no end that you’re this math god and that’s your foundation, and then you layer T.S. Eliot on top of it, or you put Gatsby on top of it, and you think about whether random things are art or ethics.” This book has so much more than that though. It has all the things I love about Lauren’s books. A sexy and swoony Hero, that can get you heated up and needing a fan and make your heart skip a beat all at the same time. A sexy, driven and self sufficient heroine that knows herself and what she wants and not afraid to go after it. Dedicated and sweet and loyal to her brother. I also love the great supporting side characters. Jennica is sweet and loyal to Flynn and I love her supporting role. I also love her descriptions of places. I’ve never been to NYC, but reading all the things they done, it makes me feel like I’m visiting them along with Flynn and Sabrina. Absolutely loved the idea of hidden messages on park benches, it made me swoon. It’s so sweet! I don’t know Lauren keeps kicking these books out so fast and writing all these swoon worthy men, but I hope she NEVER runs out of inspiration and keeps the books coming!

Review: Come As You Are

Come As You Areby Lauren Blakely is a contemporary standalone romance told in dual POV between Flynn Parker, a multi-millionaire tech genius and Sabrina Granger, a poor but excellent reporter with a passion for masquerade balls and dirty dukes. Flynn has had enough of being chased for his money. Once bitten, forever shy as far as he is concerned. When a charity function hosts a masquerade party this is his chance to meet someone who doesn't see him as his financial worth but sees him for who he is. Little does he expect to run into his Angel and play Dirty Prince Charming to her Dirty Cinderella. Sabrina has been through the wringer as far as relationships go. Her mother is a piece of work who abandoned her & her brother, leaving him in her care. Her fiancé up and left to China TWO WHOLE DAYS before her wedding, and now her job as a reporter is gone thanks to the company going out of business. Attending a charity masquerade ball her best friend co-ordinated is a chance for her to network and get back out there... For work and maybe for a date too. She doesn't expect the biggest opportunity of her life to happen not once, but twice that same night. Shame one comes in direct opposition to the other. Now Sabrina has to make a choice - love or money... Well-written, perfectly-paced, this story was cute, quirky, sexy, and a wonderful insight into some of the lesser known sights in and around New York. I absolutely enjoyed this - hope you do too!

Good read!

I really loved the whole masquerade aspect of this story. I’ve always wanted to attend one but that’s another story! In this book we meet Flynn who is a hot nerd multimillionaire. It took me a minute but then I made the connection that he is Dylan from Stud Finders twin brother! I love when I spot these little gems from the author. As you can imagine being a rich eligible bachelor doesn’t always have its perks. So for one night Flynn can pretend to be anyone and not have to worry about being used. Sabrina just got out of a relationship and is in a runt. She attends this party at her friends request and hits it off with Flynn. I have to say their banter was really cute. Who knew nerd jokes could be so cute and hot at the same time?? Sabrina and Flynn do have some hot chemistry but the other shoe drops throughout the story. At this point i was so sad as I couldn’t wait to see what was going to happen next for these two. The setting of this story takes place in New York my hometown since birth and the author introduced me to place that I didn't even know existed. I loved reading and discovering these new places right along with Sabrina and Flynn. As a long time fan of Lauren Blakely her books always seem to make me smile. The writing was good, the story held my attention and her description to detail was spot on! This was a cute story that will have you looking for love in the City. “Received an ARC for which I voluntarily provided an honest review."

Loved it!

5 Stars Oh my goshh!!!! Lauren Blakely does it again!!! She knocked it out of the park with Come As You Are! It was witty, charming, and full of sweet and sexy moments. I swear this author has such a way with words. You can always expect to laugh out loud while reading and will NO DOUBT fall in love with her characters. Flynn and Sabrina’s story is romance at its finest! Flynn is every woman’s dream. Super smart, handsome, and successful. Trouble is he’s jaded and doesn’t trust women. So when he meets the most beautiful woman at a masquerade party, he doesn’t know what to do. She’s everything he wants and their chemistry is palpable. He can’t stop thinking about her but when her profession comes to light, his heart is saying one thing but his brain is saying another… Sabrina is struggling to make ends meet. Trying to find a job and just getting over a breakup, she feels hopeless. When she attends a masquerade party to try and network, she wasn’t expecting a super sexy man in a mask that makes her laugh and sends chills down her spine. Thinking it was just one night with a stranger, imagine her surprise when she finds out what she really has to do with the man in the mask… I loveddddd Come As You Are so much! Lauren Blakely wrote a phenomenal story with unbelievable characters. The storyline was unique and the honestly so addicting that I seriously could not put it down! I highly recommended reading this book and am so looking forward to the next!

Fairest Reviews

The Duke and His Angel!

The title of Flynn and Sabrina’s book speaks to the people they are beneath their professional personas…the ones who don’t have to consider the risks…who adore witty grammar exchanges, willingly follow their heart instead of their head, and dirty each other up in all deliciously decadent ways. But that’s not Flynn or Sabrina’s reality… In the real world, the in-your-face New York City business world, Flynn Parker is a visionary - one who has made millions due to his brain power…one who endures impromptu wedding proposals and countless business pitches from almost everyone who crosses his path…one who doesn’t know who to trust when it comes to the opposite sex because he’s been burned before with someone’s desire over his money more than anything else. He’s ‘millions’…he’s polished…he’s a self-driven multi-millionaire. And, it’s the man who Flynn is in the business world that Sabrina Granger can’t allow herself to fall for…because she’s ‘pennies’ and ‘do-it-yourself’ attire, and she doesn’t add up to anything close to who and what Flynn has in his life…at least when it comes to the numbers and the professionalism she must exude in order to take care of herself and her brother and given the disastrous state of her circumstances, the reward of her attraction to Flynn is not worth the risk that comes with it, not because she doesn’t want him or think about him all the time, but because in the grand scheme of things, they come from two different worlds and she just can’t find a way to fit into his without compromising her principles and becoming someone she vowed she never would be. Regardless of Flynn and Sabrina’s differing lifestyles, their chemistry and attraction cannot be denied, so while they ‘try’ to be professional and not cross the line that Sabrina needs to remain behind, it’s clear that they’re falling for each other and complement one another in so many ways. The struggle they both have to not go back to Duke and Angel is always festering just beneath the surface, and Lauren Blakely does a great job of illustrating both Flynn and Sabrina’s internal struggle. There’s so much more on the line for Sabrina when it comes to her profession, but there’s just as much for Flynn to lose, even if it comes in a much different form of loss and Blakely examines all of the whys and why nots and then allows the hero and heroine to make up their minds and truly figure out the risk versus the reward…the idea of what taking a chance could cost them, and ultimately, they both realize things about themselves, their lifestyles, and their hopes/dreams and the only reason they do is because they took a chance that first night, even behind masks and no names, to be honest and to free themselves of societal constraints, so the crux of the story focuses on how to come to an equal balance when it comes to Sabrina’s career and the fact that they’re falling for one another regardless of the conflict of interest that compounds all of Sabrina’s decisions. Because when it comes down to it, their grammar games, Flynn’s knock, knock jokes, their dirty Cinderella and dirty Prince Charming experiences clearly illustrate just how perfect they are together and just how much they want to be themselves - the ones who met at the masquerade party and ended up unmasking each other to the point that they both wanted more. Lauren Blakely has a way of making her readers not only fall in love with her hero and heroine but also with the story’s setting, and New York City is the perfect place for Flynn and Sabrina’s love story because not only does it show the endless possibilities that are at their fingertips, both in life and in love,=, but it also illustrates their love affair with their city itself, not just the sights that everyone knows, but those secret and hidden places, which makes it that much more amazing to be able to truly experience a side of NYC that most can only dream of seeing. ‘Nerds for the Win!’ That’s exactly how I felt after I finished reading Flynn and Sabrina’s story, and because I’m quite the nerd myself, I could not get enough of Flynn’s hot and witty nerd game as well as Sabrina’s love for words and historical romances. Such a great story! 4.5 Poison Apples (The Fairest of All Book Reviews)

Love Flynn !!!

I just adore Flynn & Sabrina! I feel like Lauren Blakely can do no wrong when it comes to writing romance. This book is fun, flirty, sexy and just freakin’ fantastic! The story itself was so incredibly good that I just couldn’t get enough. I love the unconventional way our Duke and Angel meet! Their chemistry is sizzling hot! But more than that I think their conversations, witty/fun banter and excursions are my favorite parts of this book!! I felt like I was with them and it makes me want to go back to NYC and do all those cool things they did instead of the big touristy things I’ve done. Seems like so much fun!! I was a bit worried that they screwed things up there for a bit, but luckily they both have awesome people in their lives that help them to see that a love like theirs is always worth the risk and doesn’t come along every day.

Come to me

Flynn Parker, hot as sin nerdy multi-millionaire. Twin to Dylan Parker from The Stud Finder and oh my, these men. Flynn is hard working, constantly looking for new tech ideas, a brain as large as his ... and as jaded as they come. He has been burned from trusting anyone that isn't his immediate family. Everywhere he goes someone is pitching an idea to him or asking him to fund something or just out and out give them money. Sabrina Granger is a reporter, freelance and loves the business sector far more than the entertainment so she loves writing stories about the up and coming business techies and what makes them tick. She is living in New York in her cousin’s apartment for practically pennies and trying desperately to keep not only herself afloat but also her brother Kevin who is going to Divinity school. Their mother Maureen left them years ago and Sabrina has raised Kevin and herself on their own. She also has trust issues and is in desperate need of some good luck. Her friend Courtney talks her into coming to a fundraiser to try to network and hopefully get some leads on a new job and it is a masquerade type party/fundraiser. Sabrina is excited, as a teen she read lots of romance books of Dukes and masquerade balls and being swept off her feet by the handsome Prince or Duke and living happily ever after. Now it gets really good....... No more info, you will want to discover what happens on your own but trust me Lauren Blakely NEVER disappoints and she doesn't with this book either. This was such a touching story, and one we all deal with at times in that it is about learning to trust even when you have been burned time and time again. Life is about choices and some are not easy but we are designed to love and be loved no matter that it hurts sometimes. This story shows us we can be both strong, independent and also allow ourselves to need someone else, to show our weak side and it be ok in the end. This also shows us how two people from two different walks of life can have so much in common and find true joy in the simple things in life and it not have to be about how much money you have or don't have. I also loved that once again Lauren takes us on a not so traveled path around the city of New York and shows us hidden treasures. I always feel I have been there with the characters of her books when I finish reading and that's a true sign of a great writer. To make you feel and see what's happening in the story. Oh and if you stalk, I mean follow Lauren like I do then you will catch glimpses of people from other books which I always love. Can you tell how much I enjoyed this book? I received an early copy to read and review and give my honest opinion. I loved it. It made me feel happy, sad at times, hot and I mean hot at others, and hopeful for the HEA we all want. I highly recommend this book; you will love it.

FANTASTIC!!!

Come As You Are was another fantastic book from Lauren Blakely. This book was refreshingly sweet, sexy and funny. Once I started reading, I couldn’t put this book down. Flynn Parker is one hot nerd that had me swooning. The fact that he is rich, isn’t what made him who he is. Flynn is sweet, sexy as all get out and can tell a knock knock joke like no other. Sabrina is creative, quirky, strong and nurturing. When these two meet at a Masquerade ball they could be themselves without pretenses. Boy do they hit it off! If only things could stay uncomplicated for them. Trust me when I say, you are going to love their love story! 5 fantastic stars!!!

4.5⭐️ Adorkable Flynn!!!

This story is so stinkin cute! Flynn and Sabrina are both adorkable! They have hot chemistry off the bat and then a really sweet slow burn. I loved all the build up of their relationship and how close they became in their situation. They have such a lightness and playful story going on. They have the kind of story that you don't want to put down because it puts you in such a good mood. I really adored these two and I just couldn't stop reading! Another super cute Lauren Blakely read.

ArysBaenion

Come As You Are by Lauren Blakely is a witty, funny, and absolutely romantic story...

Come As You Are by Lauren Blakely is a contemporary romance novel about Flynn Parker, twin to Dylan Parker whom we met in Ms. Blakely's Stud Finder. I have been excitedly waiting for Flynn's story. Flynn Parker, is a high-tech CEO after founding and selling his first tech start-up with his brother Dylan. Now, he is stopped everywhere with people pitching ideas left and right, which he is always willing enough to listen to because who knows where the next best idea will come from. However, he's not only pitched business ideas, but he's also pitched marriage proposals and people asking for money. So he's not entirely trusting when it comes to people especially after being burned by his ex. However, the opportunity to dress up and hide behind a mask during a masquerade party is entirely too enticing to pass up. Sabrina Granger has been working hard to support herself and her brother Kevin. She needs to land a job as a journalist and to do that she has to network. Luckily, her friend takes her to a masquerade party where she can network with various tech publications and she is able to land a meeting. Not only is she able to get a chance at a job, but the party also opens the door for a wordsmith and tech nerd to meet. Fate loves to play games though, when after a magical night, Flynn Parker and Sabrina Granger meet again only to realize that the mystery person from their fairytale evening is now that person holding their future in their hands. Flynn needs Sabrina's publication to write the feature to help promote his new business venture, while Sabrina needs Flynn's interview to earn her dream job as a full-time journalist. So both have to kiss the fairytale versions of themselves goodbye as they focus on staying professional. Easier said than done. I enjoyed Come As You Are by Lauren Blakely. Similar to Stud Finder, we get to follow along Flynn and Sabrina's growing relationship and watch them fall in love with each interview meeting/date, as well as each text. Each meeting built upon the other as they opened up and showed a little more of themselves and how they were each falling for the other. Also, I enjoyed the details about New York. For a reader who has never been, reading about the locations and learning about little, hidden and not so hidden, details that are woven in, like the numbers on the lamp post, are so interesting and make me want to see it for myself someday. There was some outside tension from "evil" Kermit and Sabrina's mother, but no other drama to try to ruin what was building to be a beautiful relationship. I also really liked Sabrina's relationship with her brother Kevin. They're very close and supportive of each other. The secret he reveals to Flynn about them at them was so cute! So were the epilogues. Overall, Come As You Are by Lauren Blakely was a witty, funny, and absolutely romantic story with relatable and engaging characters. I easily fall in to Ms. Blakely's novels and I enthusiastically recommend that you do to. (I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book I received for free in exchange for my open and honest review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.)

I ❤️ Flynn and girl crushing on Sabrina!

Come as You Are is Lauren Blakely’s next brilliantly sexy standalone novel. I have read every word this woman has written and I will never get enough. Never. Her stories are fresh, addicting, and make me fall in love every time. I haven’t met a Blakely Man that I haven’t fallen in love with. Some more than others but it’s always love. If you read Stud Finder than you might remember Flynn, Dylan’s twin brother. Well...this is his story!! It all started when a Duke saw an Angel. It was a magical night of witty banter, flirty fun, and filthy sex against the wall. It ended with a text. The last eight months of Sabrina’s life has been a whirlwind of chaos. Then in one night things seemed to come together. She was able to let her guard down with a sexy stranger who made her feel alive. To feel wanted. To feel sexy. To feel like she could do anything. She might not know what he looks like but she sure knows how he feels and she wants more. It wasn’t just about the sex either. It was about his words. His wit. His nerdy side. So when he wants to meet her the next day, she says yes. That was when her two worlds collide. He is her next story. The story that would land her her dream job. She knew it was too good to be true. To feel a connection to only find out that he is off-limits. Flynn wanted one night to be hidden. He was grateful for the life he had. He worked hard for it but he didn’t want any proposals tonight. Not business or marriage. He wasn’t against love. He was against gold diggers. He didn’t know who he could trust. So, why not hide behind the mask for one night? He had no idea that he would see an angel. An angel who made him laugh. An angel who was smart, and sexy. An angel who understood his costume. And when that angel loves his dominate side, it’s the hottest f- thing he had ever seen. Her becoming undone. He wants more. And when he discovers that his angel is actually Sabrina, the reporter he is both determined and sad. He knows she is off-limits but he doesn’t want her to be. Flynn and Sabrina’s relationship is complicated and easy at the same time. They have to spend time together for the profile that she is writing. They need to concentrate on the work but why not discover the hidden places of New York City at the same time? See each other’s favorite places. Find new ones. Talk about life, love, and loss in the city they love. Can they spend their days together without the hot nights? Will Sabrina get her dream job? Will they take the risk of being together? I fell hard for this book. The characters. The city. The love. The laughs. The nerdiness. Flynn is the definition of nerdy hot! I can just picture him with his black glasses and sexy abs while quoting my favorite books. Yum! And Sabrina, she is a strong woman who doesn’t want Flynn for his money but for him. All of him. She is brilliant, beautiful, and doesn’t back down from a fight. Overall...Together, these two are amazing!! The connection is beautiful. The sex is f- hot. Those scenes were some of Lauren’s hottest ones yet. I also loved that they had their differences but they also had some of the same passions. I want to go to NYC!! P.S. Daisy seems like a cool chick. Quotes: “Are you in a rush to read something?” she asks coyly. Flynn is a pattern I want to make over and over. He’s a word I never tire of using. He’s a song I can blast in my earbuds all night long. “You can’t quote Andrew Marvell, especially when his words are all randy. I told you poetry is an instant orgasm for me.”

Spectacular!

I’m running out of words to describe how much I love Lauren’s books and how magnificent they are. They’re delightful and sexy with depth to the storyline and characters. Flynn and Sabrina’s story was just perfect. I loved how they met-it was mysterious but oh so fun. These two people ignite a spark that can not be denied. The more time they spend together, the more the connection overloads. I really enjoyed how they spent time together. It just went with their personalities. It was fun to read about the secrets of a city that is so close to where I live. It made me want to go in exploration :) I was smiling throughout my reading. I couldn’t get enough of this couple. I truly loved everything about their story. It was just splendid. Lauren always gives the right perfection in her books. Yeah I don’t know what else to say other than this book is full of passion, amusement, and sweetness. Overall a spectacular read!

All the love for Angel and Duke

I said it for his brother. I'll say it again for Flynn. Hooray for hot, successful nerds!! Especially one with a dominant streak. Holy hotness! *fans self* I loved Come as you Are!! As always Lauren Blakely brings the charm. The humor. The undeniable chemistry. She brings us characters that are so relatable yet so unlike anyone else. And, of course, she brings the heat. The forbidden element in Come As You Are is all kinds of delicious. Sabrina and Flynn share an insane connection right from the start. However, because they must work together on a project that will benefit both, they're forced to not act on their blooming feelings for one another. I loved loved loved the tension that builds as they spend more and more time together. I also love the little touches and comments they can't help but make. It felt like I was suffering right along with them. I wanted them together as much as they did. As I mentioned above, the characters are amazing. I love their quirkiness. Flynn and Sabrina are quick with a grammar joke, a verse of literature or fabulous wordplay. They love weird, kitschy things. Understand each others hopes and wishes. They're fun and flirty and just perfect. This book is a character driven book and Sabrina and Flynn absolutely shine. Flynn Parker rivals my favorite Blakely hero, Clay Nichols, in the dirty talking department. Oh man!! It was unexpected but very welcomed. Not to mention crazy hot. I will admit, an audible "dayuuum" escaped my mouth during Sabrina and Flynn's first intimate scenes. Yep, it was that good. In this book, Flynn and Sabrina set out to find "treasures" throughout the city. Locating all the obscured charm New York has to offer. The way Lauren Blakely describes a new place is majestic. She continues to add new items to my "places to visit" list. It's incredible. Lauren Blakely has never disappointed. If you're looking for a sweet, funny, sexy forbidden romance, I highly recommend Come As You Are.

It’s so much easier to be who are when no one knows who you are.

Lauren gives us another jewel. The jewel in this story is New York City. The stars are Flynn Parker and Sabrina Granger. They take us on a tour of the city and in the process fall in love. Along the road is a young girl’s fantasies, a hard knock life, a man’s calloused attitude with women, a curse, a sacrifice, a masquerade party, an angel, a duke, instant attraction, familiar people, conflict of interest, and even Harry Potter. You knew the road would be rocky, right? There is also word play, literary references, poetry quotes, but all done in a sweet, clever, funny Blakely way. This story ultimately makes you feel warm and happy. Not the slightest bit envious of Sabrina, not a bit! Did I mention that Flynn is hot? That parts of this story are scorching? If Lauren Blakely were here, I would give her a hug for giving us this great story.

Flynn can be my dirty Prince Charming anytime ❤️❤️

Another amazing read by Lauren Blakely! A chance meeting at a costume masquerade ball makes for a fun, flirty read you can’t put down. From the start their chemistry is electric and their banter is witty, swoony and steamy. I loved both Flynn and Sabrina so much, their characters and the tidbits about New York are unique and so much fun to read. I highly recommend this book!

5 Adorkably Perfect Stars! ⭐️

I absolutely DEVOURED this book! It was the perfect amount of sweet and sexy, with a pinch of taboo for good measure. No one writes sexy romantic comedies like Lauren Blakely! Come As You Are will have you laughing, swooning, and grinning like a fool! It's rare when I like both the hero and heroine equally. Usually one will stand out more than the other, but this time around, Flynn and Sabrina were the perfect pair. Flynn is one of the most adorkably sexy heroes ever and Sabrina was fantastically quirky. Both were intelligent, loyal, loving, and driven individuals. They both have some romantic baggage in their pasts, but it's clear from the moment these two meet that they just fit. The connection between them was jumping off the pages and I could not get enough of their sexy banter and adorable nerd speak. Yes, their meet cute wasn't exactly conventional and showcased their chemistry more anything (scorching hot by the way!), but it's the time afterwards that really exemplifies their incredible connection. Their amazing and off the beaten path adventures around New York City allows their relationship to organically grow and flourish. The build-up between these two was so delicious and was the perfect amount of will they/won't they. I also appreciated that there was no unnecessary angst or other man/woman drama, but rather just our two characters navigating this path together. I absolutely loved this one and my heart was so full as I turned the last page. Come As You Are is my new Lauren Blakely favorite! *I voluntarily read an advance reader copy of this book*

Flynn and Sabrina melted me! This couple was meant to be! Fabulous banter, gorgeous setting, wonderful characters and real conflict!

Fabulous five star read

Five Key Takeaways from Come As You Are: 1. Flynn will have you swooning. 2. Sabrina will have you grinning. 3. Witty banter is hella hot foreplay. 4. Masquerade parties can be fun AND sexy. 5. Lauren Blakely has another hot, steamy, FUN book that is sure to be a bestseller. So it's no secret that Lauren Blakely is my favorite author. When I pick up one of her titles I know I'm going to laugh, probably cry and I'm definitely going to swoon. I definitely laughed, sighed and had a major swoonfest going on in Come As You Are. I adored Sabrina. She is one of my favorite female characters from this author. Sabrina is smart, sassy and fiercely loyal. I felt her struggle as she was stuck between the proverbial rock and hard place but I really appreciated how she handled the situation. I liked her sense of self, too. She knew what she wanted and worked hard for herself to get there. She is someone I liked, respected and would definitely want to hang out with. Flynn brought the swoon to this book for me. There was something just magnetic about him; I was drawn right into him. He's smart, witty and incredibly hot. He has some trust issues-which completely make sense-and I liked seeing him understand he could trust Sabrina. I really loved seeing him put himself out there for Sabrina. These two just about melted my kindle. From the moment they met the spark was there and it led to a flame that neither of them could put out. They tried, really they did, but that slow burn and simmer just never went away. Their sex was definitely hot and steamy. Have a fan nearby-you'll need it. But the connection between them was more than just sex. I loved every moment of them learning about one another and seeing how well they truly fit together. The writing in this book was phenomenal. I felt like I was in NYC every step of the way with Flynn and Sabrina. If you've never been to New York City you'll definitely feel like you have been to parts of it after reading this book. The supporting characters are fun and I personally love how this author sprinkles in characters from her past books at times. It's fun to sneak peeks back into those other character's lives for a moment. That being said, this is a standalone so if you haven't read Lauren Blakely books before (though what are you waiting for????) you'll be completely fine reading this book. I loved every moment of this book. I was completely charmed and captivated with this story. It's a unique storyline-fresh, fun and interesting. If I could give Come As You Are more than five stars I would-this book deserves it. I absolutely loved this book and highly recommend it.

Cinderella goes to masquerade ball

A Cinderella romance with a little(ok a lot) of naughty begins with a chance meeting at a masquerade ball. Flynn Parker, is not your typical millionaire by anyone’s standards. Flynn is way beyond handsome, smart, loves and sees math everywhere, slightly dirty talker, and has a heart-of-gold. Sabrina Granger, smart, beautiful, loves to play word games, a super Harry Potter fan, and has lovingly raised her brother when their mother abandoned them. Flynn and Sabrina have a very HOT first encounter at the masquerade ball without knowing each other’s real names. By the time they finally meet face to face Sabrina has been hired to a new job that puts her professional life in conflict with her personal life’s budding feelings for Flynn. As Flynn and Sabrina spend time together completing her new job they learn each other’s true passions and what makes them tick. This is a beautiful story of learning one another and falling in love. Their chemistry/attraction continues to grow with a slow burn that is just as hot as any love scene that Lauren Blakely has written. As always, Lauren Blakely writes a beautiful story with strong characters, both hero and heroine. Sabrina does not want Flynn for his money but for him only. Flynn has been hurt by gold-diggers in his past which make trusting Sabrina quite difficult. Sabrina has also been hurt by people close to her which has made it very difficult for her to move on with her life. Finally, both Flynn and Sabrina make a choice for their futures. I totally enjoyed this story as I always do with a Lauren Blakely story. Read “Come As You Are” by Lauren Blakely to find out what those choices are. Does Flynn’s Dirty Cinderella get her Prince Charming? I received an ARC for an honest review.

5 “Flynn is MINE” stars!!!!

*** I received an advanced copy and chose to review it *** ** 100% spoiler-free ** * 5 "Flynn is MINE" Stars * Looking for your next sexy swoon-fest? Well look no further because Lauren Blakely does what she does best in Come As You Are and you'll fall in love instantly with Flynn and Sabrina. Blakely brings magic to every story she tells and in this one, readers will be enchanted with not only the characters but also with the setting and the adventures that they embark on. Under normal circumstances, I'd say that Flynn and Sabrina had a fun "meet cute" but there was nothing cute about their first encounter. Oh no.....these two set the world ablaze with their masked attraction in a hot, hot, HOT secret library rendezvous at a masquerade party. I absolutely loved this part of the story and how freeing it was for both characters. Their unbridled attraction to each other coupled with the air of mystique made for some imaginatively fun times for this Angel and her Duke which ultimately set the tone for their romantic story. Flynn and Sabrina's romance beyond their first night comes to a screeching halt when they begin working together. However, as they start to spend more and more time together, their adventures take on a new twist as they fight their growing feelings for one another. The sexual undertones intensify with every encounter they have and their witty banter turns more suggestive with each flirty text and poetic recitation. The story becomes a slow burn after their initial passionate night and Blakely does a fabulous job ramping up the sexual tension. These two have chemistry in spades!!! As always, Blakely's characters are well developed and incredibly written. Flynn is smart, sexy, extremely successful, adorably nerdy and has a heart of gold. But he's been burned before so he has his reservations. Sabrina is smart, confident, independent, creative and a true go-getter. She's also been hurt before and has built up walls to protect herself. Both have huge hearts and go out of their way to help others. Flynn and Sabrina's characters work incredibly well together because they have so much in common. They are like two puzzle pieces who were missing their mate---when they finally connect, things instantly click into place. Their romance is perfectly written and will make readers swoon something fierce! I have come to rely on Blakely not just for outstanding stories but also for the knowledge she constantly imparts on her readers in each book she writes. Born and raised in the NYC area, I learned so many interesting tidbits about the city I've practically grown up in! Add in some cool math facts and some adorable jokes and I can honestly say that Ms. Blakely truly schooled me! Come As You Are had me laughing and smiling while simultaneously getting me hot and bothered. It is incredibly written and I often found myself thinking how poetic the author's words were. The story flows beautifully and I enjoyed every second of it. Don't miss this sweet and fun love story because it is most definitely a 5-star read!

BEAUTIFULLY WRITTEN MUST READ

Sabrina and Flynn meet in mysterious circumstances and connect instantly through their words and bodies. Flynn was enamored with Sabrina even though they met with masks on and securely in place at a masquerade party. One night of hot steamy sex leads to a flirtation and the hope for a future full of the same. Sabrina is a reporter set with the task of getting to know Flynn Parker for a new article and hopefully a full-time job. When Sabrina and Flynn meet for their first official date, they realize that they already know each other. Sabrina and Flynn now have some important decisions to make. As they get to know one another Sabrina and Flynn know they are meant for one another, but can they overcome the obstacles placed in front of them? A must read from Lauren Blakely!

If Lauren Blakely were here, I would give her a hug for giving us this great story.

mpatane5

Flynn can be my dirty Prince Charming anytime ❤️❤️

Another amazing read by Lauren Blakely! A chance meeting at a costume masquerade ball makes for a fun, flirty read you can’t put down. From the start their chemistry is electric and their banter is witty, swoony and steamy. I loved both Flynn and Sabrina so much, their characters and the tidbits about New York are unique and so much fun to read. I highly recommend this book!
